Oakland Youth Department

The Youth Ministry of Oakland Avenue Baptist consists of students in grades 6-12. The focus of the ministry is to help students build a strong spiritual and Biblical foundation that will carry them throughout their life. The ministry mission is to radically change the next generation with the message of Jesus. The heart of the ministry is to impact the community by showing the love of Jesus.

 

The highlight of the week is the Wednesday evening teen service. The services consist of the teaching of God’s Word, discipleship groups, food, and fellowship.

Teens meet Sunday mornings at 9:45 for Sunday School.. The classes are divided between Jr. High (6th– 8th Grade) and Sr. High (9th– 12th Grade).  There are activities throughout the year for the teens.
